“Small Connections on a Continental Scale”
That’s the tagline I chose to go with to represent this website. And I want it to mean something. There are around 7.5 billion people on this planet, of which I am just one. I’ve lived my life, and I know the ins and outs, the stories, the sorrows. But when I pass by someone else on the street, they don’t know any of that! They don’t know my story, and I don’t know theirs. Wouldn’t it be nice, to try and find it?
I’m embarking on a journey, to parts I’ve never been. I’ll pass through the lives of countless others, and they’ll pass through mine. Like a shadow: visibly there, but not concrete, ever out of touch. In this trip, I really want to challenge myself to go beyond that. There are countless ways to make that leap from shade to friend. A cup of coffee, a climb up a mountain, a round of drinks, who knows? I want to discover the stories this world has to offer, as well as the people who inhabit it. My life is a vivid and complex epic, but so is everyone else’s.
